Beginning

I feel like I don’t even truly understand “beginning.”  When do things really start?  Conception?  If we totally surrender to God’s will, how could we even begin to understand “beginning.”  I’m reflecting because this is the first blog post – so I expect it should say something about what is “from grace for glory;” which made me then contemplate the journey to this day.  Though when did that truly begin?  Let’s just talk about today.  The Present – as CS Lewis says: ” the present is when time meets eternity.”  It’s when the past meets the future … for a moment.

From grace for glory is a ministry that the Lord put into my care.  It began with listening and writing.  I am blessed with hearing his Word — which is quite different than hearing his Voice.  He speaks, I listen and write.  He has told me that the gift of hearing requires that I also speak.  His Word is not for me alone – it is for you.

He has afforded me opportunities to share in very intimate settings – small groups or individually.  Often I am humbled to the point of tears, repeating the words I first heard from Him.   He is preparing my strength and my resolve in small ways – cautioning me of the sureness of attack and controversy.  I’m learning that my strength and my resolve comes from one source, and inexhaustible source, our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

Stay tuned precious friends.eternal love

  1. Thank you for the beautiful words shared in all the blogs. There were my devotions this evening. Hi to the woman in your Bible study.

    • They say HI to you and send their love! I am so nervous about becoming public – but He told me that was the plan all along. Every day is becoming a little easier. He told me that life is not about the journey – but truly all about the destination and to keep our eyes and heart set there – and all will be well here. I think He is right! LOL – Blessed assurance. MISS you! My heart to your’s — love, shel
